Days 1 - 5: UK to Sydney
Arrive into Sydney on day 3 where you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel on Darling Harbour for a 3-night stay. During your time in Sydney we've included a sunset dinner cruise around Sydney Harbour and a lunch at the Sydney Tower in their revolving restaurant which will give you some amazing views across the city. The rest of your time in Sydney is yours to spend at leisure allowing you to explore the harbour, bridge, and opera house as much as you wish.
Days 6 - 7: Canberra
Distance: 276km/173 miles
Canberra is Australia’s National Capital and is located on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. The city features both the old and new Parliament Houses, the Australian War memorial and an interesting array of foreign embassies and diplomatic residences. With a regular bus service running from just outside the campsite, it means you can leave your motorhome on-site and easily explore everything that Canberra has to offer.
Days 8 - 9: Albury
Distance: 341km/213 miles
The quickest route to Albury is via the Hume Highway but for those wanting a more scenic journey, you can follow the Monaro Highway to Cooma and then take the Kosciuszko Road through the Snowy Mountains and the Alpine region.
Your home for the next two nights is beside Lake Hume, where you can swim, fish, hire a boat, enjoy the on-site pool and tennis court, or explore some of the local history. For wine enthusiasts, there is the option to enjoy wine tastings in the Rutherglen Wine Region.

Days 10 - 12: Melbourne
Distance: 328km/205 miles
Heading south you can make a stop at historic Beechworth, one of Australia’s early gold mining boom towns, before continuing to Melbourne, best known for its fine parks and gardens, tree-lined streets, historic bluestone buildings, its trams and for some of Australia’s best known sporting events.
With 3 nights in Melbourne, you'll have plenty of time to explore the city, but we have also included an evening trip on the Penguin Express where you will have the opportunity to witness these remarkable birds make their nightly pilgrimage from the Southern Ocean to the safety of their cosy burrows.
Days 13 - 14: Apollo Bay
Distance: 197km/123 miles
Depart Melbourne on the Princes Freeway and travel to Geelong, where you join the Surfcoast Highway to the pretty coastal resort town of Torquay. From here you join the Great Ocean Road - one of Australia's most spectacular drives. You'll have uninterrupted coastal views for much of your drive, as well as some fantastic inland views too.
Your destination for this evening is Apollo Bay, a scenic little fishing port nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Otway Ranges. In the town, you’ll find a range of superb restaurants and cafes, art galleries, a fabulous seaside golf course, and interesting museums. In particular, the Bass Strait Shell Museum features a huge display of shells from all around the world and information on shipwrecks that have occurred off this perilous coastline. A steep and narrow road will take you to Mariners Lookout, to the east of town, where a short walk leads to spectacular views of the township and the coastline.
Days 15 - 16: Warrnambool
Distance: 158km/99 miles
Drive via Port Campbell and Peterborough as you continue along the scenic Great Ocean Road, heading for Warrnambool. This is one of the most famous stretches of the Great Ocean Road as it hugs the coastline and takes you past the famous formations of the Shipwreck Coast. Along the way, we recommend stopping at Port Campbell National Park, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge plus the best-known feature of the road - the Twelve Apostles, magnificent limestone stacks rising out of the sea.
Originally a sealing and whaling port, Warrnambool now thrives on tourism and a variety of industries. There are good beaches and several historical attractions. Points of interest in this little town are the wrecks of the Loch Ard and the Schomberg, relics of which can be seen in the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village.

Days 17 - 18: Mount Gambier
Distance: 195km/122 miles
Depart Warrnambool this morning and continue along the Princes Highway heading west towards the town of Mount Gambier, located on the slopes of an extinct volcano which the town is named after. Mount Gambier has two famous attractions, the Blue Lake, and the Cave in the centre of the city. As a consequence, the town is known as "Blue Lake City" or the "City around a Cave". The lake is famous for its change of colour from winter grey to intense blue in November each year. It remains blue until late March, and aside from its beauty, is the City's source of domestic water.
Days 19 - 20: Robe
Distance: 125km/78 miles
Today you have the choice of taking the shorter coastal route to Robe, or you could head inland to visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Naracoorte Caves, part of the 800,000-year-old Naracoorte East range, and one of the world’s most important fossil sites.
Located on the Southern Ocean Drive and with long sandy beaches, Robe is the ideal place to break up the journey between Melbourne and Adelaide. There’s art galleries, cosmopolitan cafes, a brewery and you can feast on some of South Australia’s best seafood. If you want something a little more energetic, there’s the beautiful Obelisk Coastal Trail which passes Robe’s historic old gaol, and along the jetty and marina.
Days 21 - 23: Adelaide
Distance: 335km/209 miles
As you head towards Adelaide, you’ll pass through the Coorong National Park, a collection of saltwater lagoons and home to a range of birdlife including pelicans. Continue over the Murray River and through the Adelaide Hills to Adelaide for the final stop on your journey. With 3 nights in Adelaide, you will have plenty of time to discover the city's attractions, to soak up the sun at one of the city's picture-perfect metropolitan beaches and to enjoy a farewell dinner at a local Adelaide restaurant on the last night of your tour.
On day 22 we take you on a half-day tour to the Barossa Valley including wine tasting at two different wineries. The Barossa Valley is one of the most recognised regions in Australia and is the place to visit for premium food, wine, and cultural experiences. The strong links to the Barossa’s European heritage remain within the thriving community, combined with the down-to-earth Australian spirit, creating a richly diverse lifestyle in a relaxed, rural setting.
Days 24 - 25: Adelaide to UK
Transfer to the airport for your journey home, arriving back in the UK the next day.
